Teaching positions for Al-Huda Schools

Part-Time Teaching positions are open for sisters and brothers for the following locations:

1.  Sundays: Applewood Heights Secondary School.(Mississauga:  Bloor & Tomken)

2.  Saturdays: Olive Grove School (2300 Speakman Dr. Mississauga)

3.   Saturdays: Ajax Secondary School

Duties:

You will be in charge of a classroom to teach students Qur'an, Arabic language and Islamic studies using Al-Huda schools’ approved curriculum. Also, you are expected to actively participate in all extra curriculum activities of Al-Huda schools.

Requirements for applicants:

1.     Commitment and practicing of Islam and motivated to teach young Muslims.

2.     University or college degree. Certification in education is plus, but not mandatory.

3.    Experience in teaching Arabic and/or Islamic studies preferably to elementary age children.

4.    Ability to communicate in both Arabic and English is preferred.

Financial reward:

Al-Huda schools’ teachers will be offered a pay for the time spent in the classrooms at a rate of $10.00/hr.
